摘　　要：该文从考察上海装饰艺术(ArtDeco)风格的代表作——沙逊大厦入手,进而比较ArtDeco与其他风格的异同,总结其设计手法。并探讨了ArtDeco运动广泛影响上海的原因,指出ArtDeco风格在上海的兴衰,正是上海特色的表现,而且它在未来上海新的城市文脉形成中仍有发展空间。Beginning with an investigation of Shaxun Building-the typical work of Art Deco rn Shanghai, the article makes a comparison between Art Deco and other decoration style. Then rt summarizes up its design manner, and probes into the cause that Art Deco had been popular greatly in Shanghai. Finally, it pointes out that the rise and decline of Art Deco is exactly the expression of Shanghai crty feature. tn addition, Art Deco should have more development space in the formation of new Shanghai city texture.
