摘　　要：区域性中心城市建设是解决不同区域经济发展内在矛盾的必然要求,也是国民经济可持续增长的主要动力。在对中西部欠发达地区经济发展的主要指标和欠发达的原因分析基础上,提出新时期中西部欠发达地区经济发展的战略抉择。特别指出应加快区域性中心城市建设,注重发挥其辐射、扩散和带动效应,促进中西部地区发展。On the basis of analyzing seven important guidelines and the important reasons of the Economic Development of Less-developed Regions in Midwest China of the New Period, this article put forward the stratagem choices about the Economic Development Strategy of Less-developed Regions in Midwest China of the New Period.
