摘　　要：长沙与广州是我国典型的南方内陆与沿海省会城市,独立式住宅是城市中有产阶级和上流社会的居所,该文以近代为时间背景,对这两个城市中的独立式住宅的立面风格进行研究,以长沙公馆及广州东山洋房为例,比较它们的立面在近代中国受到西方影响的情况下,其形式特征的变化情况,以揭示近代独立式住宅在中国沿海到内陆形成与发展的规律和特征。Changsha is a typical inland city while Guangzhou is a typical inshore one in China. The detached houses were the residency of the upper ten in the city and the thesis tends to compare the elevations of them which built during the time from 1840 to 1949 in the two cities. China was greatly invaded by the western culture in that period and the architectures were also westernized, The research tends to summarize what they had changed and what the rules they had to be obeyed on elevation style from inland city to inshore one.
