摘　　要：人口的年龄构成不仅反映人口的再生产状况,而且也反映社会的发展、变动情况。在系统梳理黄河中下游地区史前人骨资料的基础上,通过全面的统计,可进一步了解这一地区史前人口年龄构成的基本情况以及人口年龄构成与社会复杂化进程的关系。Human age is a basic natural attribute of population. The age composition of population reflects not only the reproduction of humans, but also the development and change of society, which was especially outstanding in prehistoric times. Based on the systematization of available human bone data from the middle and lower Yellow River valley and through overall, careful statistics, the present paper makes a deep-going research on the basic condition of the age composition of the prehistoric population in this region and its relationship with the developmental course of social complexity.
