摘　　要：针对矢量量化图像编码技术中编码的复杂度随码矢的维数呈指数增长这一缺陷，本文提出了一种基于训练码矢塔形结构的快速算法。经实验证明，采用该方法可大大加快编码的速度。A new fast algorithm for vector quantization based on the pyramid structure of input vector is introduced.It can be used to solve the problem of high computting complexity of vector quantization in image coding.The result shows that this algorithm can promote encoding speed and save encoding time.
