摘　　要：随着越来越多交叉学科的出现及其发挥的作用,交叉学科在科学领域表现出的生命力得到充分肯定。然而,在科学领域中,有的学者对交叉学科的学术性和可持续性发展存在观望甚至质疑。本文试图在了解交叉学科产生和发展的基础上,进一步讨论对交叉学科范畴的认识,商讨为什么科学发展需要交叉学科,并以人口健康和断代工程两个交叉学科在相关研究领域的突出贡献,作为论证自然科学与社会科学宽泛交叉的作用及其生命力的典型案例,提出只有在科学领域中认同社会科学的重要性,社会才会有较快的协调发展。在繁荣哲学社会科学的过程中,必须注重社会科学与自然科学的交叉研究。With more and more interdisciplines emerging and developing with their action, their life forces were proved in scientific fields. However, there still some doubts on technicality and sustainable development of interdisciplinary developing. In this paper, Understanding of category of interdicipline were discussed based on their emerging and development. Taken population health and chronology project with their contributions to science as examples, the importance and demand of interdisciplinary developing were demonstrated. Interdisciplinary developing between natural science and social science with understanding the importance of social science would bring a flourishing era on philosophy and social science.
