摘　　要：使用较高模数的水玻璃混制的型砂具有残留强度低、吹CO2时间短等优点,并有好的抗吸湿性和表面稳定性。一般低模数的水玻璃可以通过在其中加入一定量的无定形二氧化硅来提高模数,但研究表明,用这种方法调得的高模数水玻璃质量并不十分理想,在使用上存在很大问题。The sodium silicate sand prepared with higher modulus sodium silicate has advantages of low residual strength, short C02 blowing time, high moisture absorption ability and surface stability. It is possible to raise the modulus of normal low modulus sodium silicate by adding some quantity of amorphous silicon dioxide （white carbon black）, however the author＇s investigation showed that the quality of the hi-modulus sodium silicate obtained such way is not ideal for casting production.
