摘　　要：综合叙述了《西北太平洋波浪统计集》一书产生的背景和其他波浪资料情况;关于该书采用的统计处理方法,即波候综合模式,作了扼要的介绍;对于若干海域的波浪要素统计,给出了该书数据与国外同类图册和日本气象厅浮标站的统计结果的比较,显示了该统计集的较高可信度.This article briefly reviews the recently published 'Wave Statistics for Northwest Pacific Ocean Areas' Herein-after referred as 'Publication' and the statistical treatment method adopted in this publication. The wave data from this publication and from other sources such as JMA Buoy Stations are compared and studied. The results show that the wave data from this publication and from JMA Buoy Station are agreed closely to each other. So the data from this publication are having rather high reliability.
