摘　　要：from是英语中最重要的介词之一,它常与其他的词搭配成许多习语性短语,具有丰富的语义功能。针对很多外语学习者很难自然地道、符合习惯地运用它这一现状,将从语义的角度对其加以全面的梳理。而且,它还具有丰富的修辞功能,充分挖掘这一功能,有助于提高人们的语言表达效果,加强的语言修养。From, one of the most important prepositions, forms vast multitudes of idiomatic phrases with other words,which contributes to its rich semantic functions. Therefore, it is most difficult for English learners to employ it naturally and idiomatically. Thus,from the semantic aspect need we analyze it thoroughly. Moreover,it possesses the rich store of rhetoric functions. We need to have a full analysis of it so as to have the increasingly effective communication both in speech and writing and show complete mastery of it while applying it.
