摘　　要：针对目前农村图书馆在建设和服务中存在的主要问题,提出作为国家公共事业的图书馆,为建设社会主义新农村提供服务是时代赋予的历史重任。并阐述了图书馆为建设社会主义新农村服务的意义,提出为建设社会主义新农村服务的内容和方式。In view of the main problems which exist in the construction and service of the countryside library, the article points out the library, as national public utility institution, should provide service for the construction of socialist new countryside, which is the task the history has entrusted to it. The article also expounds the significance of the service the library provides for the construction of the socialist new countryside,putting forward the contents and ways of the service.
