摘　　要：本文阐述了森林生态系统经营产生的历史背景及其概念，它是传统森林经营的继承与发展。森林生态系统经营的本质是维持长期健康的森林生态系统和持久的林地生产力，关键是建立起一个自适应机制。森林生态系统经营实施的具体步骤是：调查评估、区划与规划、实施与监测。可以预料。The historical background and concept of Forest Ecosystem Management (FEM) are described in this paper.The author points out that FEM is developed the bases of traditional forest management, its essence is to maintain long term healthy forest ecosystem and sustainable forest site productivity, and the key point is to establish self adapted mechanism. The concrete implementing process of FEM is: investigation and assesment→division and planning→implementation and monitoring.It will be predicted that FEM will be the inexorable trend of scientific forest management.
