摘　　要：伟大的精神分析学家弗洛伊德在其代表作《图腾与禁忌》中指出图腾是父亲影像的替代物,儿子如同那些对氏族图腾总是持复杂情感的原始先民一样,对自己的父亲也持双重情感。海明威分析了笔下的代表人物尼克.亚当斯与父亲的微妙关系。Freud, the great psychologist, points out that totem is a substitute of the father in his Totem and Taboo. Like those primitive ancestors holding delicate attitude to their totem, sons always hold ambivalent attitude to their fathers. By using this theory, this paper analyzes Nick Adams＇ ambivalence to his father.
