先秦楚人“尚武”成因探析

摘　　要：通过民族史学、体育史学、体育理论、考古学等多种学科原理,结合文献资料、背景分析、综合分析法等,对先秦楚人“尚武”成因、体育文化特征和表现形式进行系统研究。结果显示:从商朝至西周,楚部落、三苗国族一直在强邻的夹缝中顽强求生,在穷山僻壤里奋发图强。这种特定的地理环境、经济生活、战争、动乱、政治背景是先秦楚人“尚武”的根本原因。“尚武”是楚人求生自强的武器,争霸称雄的法宝,同时也是一种奋发向上的民族精神。楚人尚武,气质刚勇,勇武爱国,乐战轻死的民族性格,蕴含深厚的文化底蕴和浓郁的荆楚地区民族体育风格。From the perspectives of ethical history, history of athletics, theory of athletics and archaeology and through literature analysis, background analysis and comprehensive analysis, this paper probes into the contributing factors in the martial spirit, the athletic cultural characteristics and their manifestation of Chu people in the pre- Qin era. The results suggest that the Chu people and the Miao people had been constantly striving for survival among the strong neighbors. The special geographical environment, economy, war, turbulence and political background are the main factors in pre- Qin Chu people＇s encouragement of martial spirit, which had been their weapon for the striving for survival and supremacy and also a national spirit of Chu people. The ethical athletic style of the Chu people greatly rooted in their national character of martial spirit, bravery and patriotism.
