摘　　要：参加韩国首尔IFLA大会后感慨颇多,特别是为各国图书馆人高度推崇的人文主义精神和服务理念所感动,尤其为日本的《图书馆自由宣言》和《格拉斯哥宣言》提倡的崇高服务思想、捍卫人们认知自由而勇敢无畏的精神所震撼。通过参加此次大会,作者一方面认识到公平、自由、便捷地利用图书馆是图书馆人不断追寻的目标,同时也深切感觉到我们每天从事的图书馆事业是平而不凡的事业,是如此崇高的事业,如此神圣的职业。I went to Seoul, Korea to attend 72nd IFLA conference and have a lot of thoughts and feelings, especially moved by the librarly people from different countries who worship the humanistic spirit and the service principle highly. At this meeting, I knew, for the first time, ＂The Library Freedom Declaration＂, originally issured by Japanese Library Association 28 year ago. I was shocked profoundly by this kind of lofty service thought and the spirit of defending Library Freedom for readers. For the first tree, I found that the cause that the librarians have been working for is so holy.
