70%。Well Xingping-1 is a horizontal multi-lateral(7 laterals) well.Low drag solids free drilling fluid was used to drill this long horizontal displacement well successfully and to protect the low-pressure low-permeability reservoir from being damaged.Field practice shows that the mud used effectively stabilized the heaving Zhiluo and Fuxian formations and coal beds, carboniferous mudstones.Trip-in was done smoothly in the horizontal section even after 6 days during which mud circulation had been stopped.API filter loss could be maintained at less than 2 mL and filter loss measured at 3.5 MPa and 60 ℃ was not greater than 20 mL.The friction coefficient was less than 0.15,with a minimum of 0.065.Drag and torque were low and bore hole stability was improved using this mud.The average ROP in horizontal and lateral sections were up to 6.84 m/h.This mud had no spurt water loss and the permeability of the mud cake wa low.The pH of the mud was less than 8.5.Low molecular weight cationic polymer and silicon additive in the mud greatly enhanced its performance in the application in horizontal multi-lateral wells.Permeability test on a core from Well Chang-6 showed that the core permeability damage was less than 20%,and the permeability recovery was 70%.
