摘　　要：文章简述了编目工作的概况,分析了编目工作与读者服务的关系,在此基础上提出了从提高编目深度、广度、调研目录利用状况以及做好利用目录的辅导工作和怎样提高编目队伍素质等五个方面来改进编目工作,从而更好的为读者服务。The paper states the survey of cataloguing work, and analyses the relations between cataloguing work and serving for reader. According to the five aspects including enhancing catalogue depth and breadth, investigating and studying the state of using catalogue, making better consulting cataloguing staffs, it proposes how to improve the cataloguing service by utilizing catalogue, improving the quality of work and serve for reader better.
