摘　　要：从辽朝社会一直存在的钱币供应危机,元宵节燃灯供养佛塔、舍利,佛诞节、盂兰盆节的习俗,以及寺院成为社会文化中心,佛学成为契丹王朝的精神支柱这些社会现象来看,辽朝确实是一个宗教盛行、整个社会虔诚信佛的朝代。The thesis analyzed these phenomena - lacking coins always existing in Liao society ; igniting lamps in order to support Buddhist Towers and She li （舍利）on the Lantern Festival; customs from Birthday of Buddhist Patriarch and the Buddhist name of the Ghost Festival; Buddhist temples having become centers of social culture ; Buddhist philosophy having been the pillar of vigor in Khitan Dynasty. In conclusion, religion was current in Liao Dynasty and the populace in the whole society believes in Buddhism piously.
