摘　　要：迄今为止的人类文明史是以物质化为基础和考量标准的社会发展史。五千年来,尤其是自工业革命以来的数百年间,由于人类的聪明才智在为满足自己无止境的物质享受过程中已把我们的生存环境破坏得千疮百孔,严重地威胁着人类自身以及地球生物圈的可持续发展。人类如不及时改变自己的社会经济发展模式,将难以实现社会经济的可持续发展。非物质化为我们提供了社会经济可持续发展的可能。非物质化要求人类改变长期以来社会经济发展唯物质为基础的发展模式,而遵从以满足人类基本的物质需求为基础、提倡大力发展和提高社会保障、精神、文化享受为导向的非物质化取向的社会经济发展模式。使人类社会经济发展、生活水平的持续提高对自然生态环境和物质资源的索取与消耗低于地球的承载极限,从而实现人类社会和地球生物圈的良性循环——即可持续发展。By far, human civilization is the history of social development with materialization as the basis and assessing standard. In past five thousand years, especially the several hundred years since the industrial revolution, man has been seeking indefinite physical enjoyments by its intelligence but has its existing environment afflicted with all ills in the process, which seriously threatens the sustainable development of mankind and the global biosphere. Man can hardly realize sustainable development of its society and economy without changing the current mode of social and economic development promptly. Non-materialization provides the possibility of sustainable development of our society and economy. Non-materialization asks mankind to change the mode of social and economic development based only on matter in the past but follow the non-materialization mode of social and economic development that aims to meet the basic material demand of mankind and advocates greater social guarantee as well as spiritual and cultural enjoyments, so that the claim and consumption of the natural ecological environment and material resources by mankind from the social and economic development and improvement of living standard are lower than the bearable capacity of earth so as to realize the favourable cycle of human society and global biosphere - sustainable development.
