摘　　要：文章系统地回顾了国外人居环境发展历程,将人居环境理论研究归纳为城市规划学派、人居聚居学派、地理学派和生态学派等,同时总结了英国、美国、法国、德国、荷兰、瑞典等国家的人居环境实践发展概况,并从历年世界人居环境日主题变迁中展望了国外人居环境发展趋势。在此基础上,提出了对我国人居环境发展一些启示。The literatures of human settlements abroad are reviewed thoroughly in the article, which are classified into four schools, i.e. city planning, esistics, geography, and ecology. Then the practices in Britain, the United States, France, Germany, Netherlands, and Sweden are summed up. The trends of human settlements development in the world are summerized from the changes of themes The World some inspirations are put forward to our country and contents, building and managing practices.
