摘　　要：Treatment of enol ether or thiol enol ether of phenylethanals with sulfuric or polyphosphoric acid in toluene or xylene gave 2-phenylnaphthalene in good yield. More importantly, a one-pot reaction has been developed.Treatment of enol ether or thiol enol ether of phenylethanals with sulfuric or polyphosphoric acid in toluene or xylene gave 2-phenylnaphthalene in good yield.
