摘　　要：首先对XML进行了概要介绍,分析了当前信息检索技术所存在的问题;然后阐述了XML在信息检索中的优势;最后以制造资源中的典型设备--车床为例,深入探讨了XML的信息检索功能。The paper first gives a general presentation on XML. h also discusses the limitations in the current information retrieval. Then it describes the advantage of XML in the information retrieval. At last, it uses a typical equipment-lathe of manufacturing resource as the example to discuss about the function of the XML in the information retrieval.
