摘　　要：元谋人牙齿化石发现40多年来,古人类学、考古学研究取得的新成果。研究认为元谋人牙齿化石并非孤立的偶然现象,它与元谋出土的大量远古生物化石、古人类文化遗存,与元谋以外其他地区的考古材料一道,证明了元谋人在东方人类起源的链条上,具有十分重要的历史地位。在以元谋为核心的云贵高原及附近地区,继续推进相关学科的综合研究,仍是一项具有重要科学价值的前沿课题。This paper discusses the new palaeoanthropological and archaeological findings in the past forty years since the discovery of the tooth fossils of Yuanmou Man. The paper holds that this discovery is not incidental, Together with the discovery of numerous fossils of palaeoanthropic culture in other places, it has been proved that Yuanmou Man played a key role in the origin of the Orientals. The further research in the Yunnan - Guizhou Plateau with Yuanmou as the center remains a frontier scientific project with great value.
