语码转换的功能及其体现模式——中文报章中英语码转换的功能分析

摘　　要：本文运用功能语言学纯理功能的理论和方法分析广州四份主要中文报纸中英语码转换的功能，发现中文报章的中英语码转换对经验功能、人际功能、语篇功能的表达均有贡献，其体现模式和着眼点存在系统性差异。通过个案分析及理论论证，文章指出：对语码转换功能的研究需要一个既能体现语码转换的多功能性、又能解释这些功能如何得以体现的理论框架，纯理功能学说可以提供这样一个框架。This paper examines the functions of code-switching and their realization patterns by drawing on Chinese/English code-switching exampies in several Chinese newspapers published in Guangzhou, with the Hallidayan principle of metafunction as the theoretical framework. It is found that the code-switches contribute to the expression of experiential, interpersonal, and textual meanings with different realization patterns. It is then argued that for exploring the functions of code-switching, an analytical framework which not only permits muitifunctional descriptions of code-switching but also offers coherent theoretical support is needed, and the metafunction principle is proposed to be such a framework.
