摘　　要：《牛虻》是一部充满强烈情感冲突和震撼力的悲剧小说。本文集中围绕主人公牛虻与蒙太里尼、与琼玛之间的感情纠葛,揭示了隐藏在人伦冲突背后的无可逃脱的人性的两难,正是这绝望的两难构成了小说持久的艺术张力。＂The Gadfly＂ is a tragic novel of intense emotional conflicts. This paper, centering upon the hero＇s emotional entanglements with Montanelli, and with Gemma, reveals the inescapable dilemma of humanity behind all these conflicts, which constitutes the lasting artistic tension of this novel.
