Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy and mechanism of point injection plus acupuncture and massotherapy for treating vertebral artery-type cervical spondylopathy, Methods Fifty patients with artery-type cervical spondylopathy were randomly allocated to point injection plus acupuncture, massotherapy and simple point injection groups. The clinical symptoms and vertebroarterial flow were observed before and after treatment, Results The morphology of the vertebral artery was improved in both groups, The curative effect was significantly better in the injection plus acupuncture and massotherapy groups than in the simple point injection group; there was a statistically significant difference, Conclusion Point injection plus acupuncture and massotherapy have an exact improving effect on the morphology of the vertebral artery in treating vertebral artery-type cervical spondylopathy, The improvement in the morphology of the vertebral artery is consistent with that in the clinical symptoms and signs, The curative effects of them are significantly better than that of simple point injection,
