摘　　要：在针对当代美国华裔文学作品的研究中,审美研究和文化意识形态分析应当互为补充。女作家任碧莲的短篇小说代表作《同日生》有效地表达了作者在叙事情境、聚焦方式、叙述声音、视角选择等叙事特征上的审美倾向和艺术追求,同时也在如何以叙事艺术特征促进主题表达方面作出了有益的探索。In the study of contemporary Chinese American literary works, aesthetic studies should be stressed the same importance as cultural ideological analysis. ＂Birthmates,＂ a representative short story of Gish Jen, has effectively expressed the author＇s aesthetic and artistic pursuit in fiction creation by way of its choices of narrative techniques such as narrative situation, way of focalization, narrative voice, and choice of perspective. It is also a valuable exploration into facilitating thematic expression by exploying useful narrative techniques.
