摘　　要：2004年国际地层委员会将地球上的岩石划分成两大部分，即显生字和前寒武系。两者划分的依据不同，显生字是依据“全球层型剖面和层型点”．而前寒武系则是依据“全球标准地层年龄”。为了建立一个“自然的”前寒武纪地质年代表，人们提出了2004-2008年前寒武系划分参考方案．它指明了前寒武纪的研究方向。The rock whichconstitutes the,earth was divided into two parts by International Commission on Stratigraphy in 2004, i. e. Phanerozoic and Precambrian. Both are not the same in defined bases, the former is defined in terms of ＂Global Stratotype Section and Point＂, the later is defined in terms of ＂Global Standard Stratigraphic Age＂. Precambrian reference time scale （2004-2008） is proposed in order to establish a ＂natural＂. Precambrian geochronologi＇c scale, which has pointed out the way to further divide Precambrian.
