摘　　要：从ＴＣＰ／ＩＰ入手，使用编程对象ＩＣＭＰ（网际控制报文协议）和编程工具ＷｉｎｄｏｗｓＳｏｃｋｅｔｓＡＰＩ，在ＰＣ机上实现Ｐｉｎｇ软件，测试报宿主机是否可达，为开发ＰＣ机上的网络管理软件提供基础．Beginning at TCP/IP, the internet control message protocol (ICMP) and the windows sockets API are used to implement the Ping software on PC. It can be applied to test if a destination host is alive. It lays the foundation of a network management software on PC.
