摘　　要：回顾了棉铃虫在国内猖獗成灾和防治的历史，面对棉铃虫威胁植棉业持续发展的现状，分析棉铃虫成灾的基本条件，认为棉铃虫防治应走生态调控。This paper retrospects the histories of outbreaks and control of cotton bollworm Heliothis armigera Hübner (Heliocoverpa armigera) in China. Under the threat of cotton bollworm to sustainable development of cotton production, the prerequisitis of outbreak of cotton bollworm were analysed. It is concluded that ecological manipulution and integrated management are needed to suppress the cotton bollworm.
