Objective To find a few evidences for coevotution of fleas and their hosts. Methods To review the domestic and oversea literatures and related data of the fauna, taxonomy, morphology and ecology of fleas. Results A series of evidences revealed that fleas and their corresponding hosts had formed a relatively stable relationship with parasitism through a long history of evolution and systematic development. The establishment of coevolution was the result of a long history of struggle, compromise and co - adaptation between the fleas (ectoparasites) and their hosts ( eg. rodents). Conclusions A relatively high coevolution exists between fleas and their hosts, which is the result of long history of evolution. It is of significance to make a further research of the coevolution between fleas and their hosts.
