Guo Muoruo reached a peak of creations of chronicle plays during the Anti-Japanese War. There were some specific properties in his plays of this time because he had to consider both politics and literature influence. On one hand, the characters were always very simple and dealt in generalities, but on the other hand, the passion with politics made his works very touched. How to balance the relations of politics and literature is very important for his works, which also gives us some revelations in literature.
