摘　　要：根据有关红土的最新研究成果，结合在红土地区大量的勘察试验资料及现场对红土特性的深刻认识，提出了红土化作用的基本形式，并对红士的定义及现有对红土的主要分类方法及存在的问题进行讨论。在此基础上按红土化程度对红土进行分类。Basing upon the newest research results, in combination with a large amount of prospecting and testing data in laterite area and the profound understanding of laterite quali ty on the spot, We put porward the basic form of lateritization and discuss the definition, the present main classifications of 1aterite and their problems. Then, we provide a laterite classification according to the lateritization degree in this paper.
