摘　　要：如何克服服务器负载过重造成的瓶颈效应,及如何适应网络的动态变化,是视频会议系统一直面临的问题。提出了一种基于分布式代理的自适应视频会议系统。该系统充分利用当前的网络条件,采用分布式代理,使用应用层组播和IP层组播相结合的混合组播方式,解决了服务器瓶颈问题;采用基于MPEG-4FGS速率修整技术,使系统具有极好的网络自适应性。How to reduce the load of the server and how to adapt to varying network conditions are two important problems that the video conferencing system has to resolve. A self-adaptive video conferencing system based on distributed agents is proposed. By employing distributed agents and hybrid multicasting which combines multicasting and unicasting, the load of the server is lightened enormously, by using MPEG-4 FGS based rate shaping, the system is adaptable to varying network conditions.
