摘　　要："五四"时期,人学观念的建立与自由主义思潮的形成是联系在一起的,人学观念的倡导为自由主义的中国化营造了必要的社会氛围,自由主义思潮的形成为人学观念的深化提供了思想、文化资源。不过,围绕人性抒写和社会改良等问题,自由主义文学在与革命文学展开多次论争之后,也因远离中国革命的社会现实而遭到进步知识分子的批判,不得不溢出个体信仰层面,承担群体使命和社会责任。People＇s literature concept building-up and the liberalism trend formation were connected in the May 4th period. People＇s literature concept produced necessary social atmosphere for liberalism. Liberalism trend of thought offered thought and culture resources for people＇s literature. However liberalism literature was criticized after debating with revolution ary literature about human nature and social reform. It has to bear up group mission and community responsibility.
