摘　　要：无线局域网是无线通信技术和计算机网络技术发展的产物。论述了无线局域网的特点和组成，无线局域网的协议，局域网在无线环境中所特有的传播问题和越区切换方式等。The wireless local area network (WLAN) is a result of rapid development of wireless communication and computer network.This paper describes the features,the compositions and the protocol of WLAN.It includes also some special issues about propagation and handoff for a local area network in wireless environment.
