摘　　要：构建社会主义和谐社会涉及到我国政治、经济和文化建设的各个方面,需要全社会的共同努力。其中文化建设占有极其重要的地位。作为人类文化知识殿堂的图书馆,是社会主义精神文明和物质文明建设的重要窗口和辐射源,在构建社会主义和谐社会中扮演着十分重要的角色,对促进政治与经济的建设、促进文化知识与科技信息的传播、促进社会教育的发展都有着积极的作用。当前充分认识图书馆与构建和谐社会的关系并发挥其更大作用,具有重要现实意义。The establishment of socialist harmonious society is related to all aspects of politics, economy and cultural construction, which needs the effort of the whole society. Among them, the cultural construction takes the most important position. The library, as the hall of human cultural knowledge, is an important window and radiation source of socialist cultural and ideological material progress and play an important role in the establishment of socialist harmonious society and in the construction of politics and economy as well as in the spread of culture, science, technology and information and the development of social education. The understanding of the relationship between of the library and the establishment of harmonious society is of realistic significance.
