摘　　要：奈保尔是个有着双重移民复杂经历的作家,其多元文化背景导致的复杂文化身份对于其文学创作具有重要意义。奈保尔的出生地西印度群岛的文学文化传统赋予他文学创作的起点和立足之点,其作品也成为该传统的一部分。Naipaul is a writer with complicated experience as a double immigrant.His complex cultural identity caused by his pluralistic cultural background is of great significance to his literary creation.Naipaul is endowed with a starting point as well as a standpoint by the cultural and literary tradition of his birthplace,West Indies,and his works also become a part of this tradition.
