摘　　要：公路运输绩效是指公路设施与运输设备的投入和公路客货运输功能与产出的效率实现程度的综合度量.应用DEA（数据包络分析）模型对我国31个省市自治区1998～2005年的公路运输绩效进行了总体评价,并采用基于DEA的Malmquist生产率指数方法,对运输生产效率变动过程进行了分析.在详实数据分析的基础上,指出了我国公路运输绩效的改进方向.Highway transportation performance refers to the synthetic measurement index between highway transport equipment input and realization of its function output. In this paper, the DEA model （data envelopment analysis） was used to evaluate the overall performance of highway transportation in 31 provinces （municipalities and autonomous regions） in China for the period of 1998~2005. Moreover, Malmquist index was applied to evaluate the alteration of efficiency. On the basis of deep analysis, the direction for was put forward for further improving the highway transportation performance in China.
