Objective To investigate the effect of atorvastatin on cardiac function,C-reactive protein(CRP) and yon Willebrand factor(vWF) levels in patients with congestive heart failure(CHF). Methods 91 patients with congestive heart failure were randomly included. Ejection fraction of patients was less than 0.35.46 patients received atorvastatin, and 45 patients were in control group. Cardiac function, CRP and vWF levels were compared between the two groups before and after treatment. Results (1)There was no significant difference in cardiac function, CRP and vWF in two groups before treatment(P〉0.05). (2)Whereas there was a significant difference in cardiac function in patients received atorvastatin( P〈0.05). (3)There was a significant decrease in CRP and vWF levels in two groups(P 〈 0.05 ) after treatment, but SVR difference was not observed. (4)Besides, HR, CRP and vWF were significantly decreased in patients received atorvastatin compared to those of control group ( P 〈 0.05 ). Conclusion Patients received atorvastatin could improve cardiac function and decrease HR and the levels of CRP and vWF.
