The incidence was 0. 80‰. The chief chararcteristic was shock due to acute blood loss and complicatinn with severe DIC. This was the important factors leading to the emergency hysterectomy within postpartum 24 hours. Prompt hysterectomy was the key in stopping the uncontrolled obstetric massive hemorrhage, The compli- cations during and after the emergency hysterectomy should also be actively prevented and treated in order to improve the quality of obstetric rescue work.
