The study has been made of the oil and gas transportation and accumulation patterns based on the structure features and oil and gas reservoir evolution history of the southern section of the western slope of Eastern Depression of Liaohe Oilfield. The research has found that under the control of different level faults, the area can be divided into two parts, i. e., the depression area and the slope area, and the slope area is composed of lower step, middle step and upper step. As the structure movement develops, the oil and gas reservoirs in different structure belts in the area have gradually formed. The area is a typical slope fault step structure with multi-type oil and gas reservoir developed. Under the control of structural conditions, the reservoirs are developed in different formations and different structures. The depressions are the key places for oil and gas accumulation, so oil and gas reservoirs accumulates widely from depression area to lower step, middle step and upper step. From upper step to the depression area, the reservoir forming formations changes from old to new. As the faults get closed gradually, the oil and gas accumulates from upper step to the depression area successively.
