Objective To evaluate the expression of survivin and VEGF in non-small-cell lung cancer ( NSCLC), and discuss the relation between the prognosis of NSCLC and survivin and VEGF. Methods We had used the method of immunohistochemical techniques to test the expression level of survivin and VEGF in 35 tissue specimen who had the chemotherapy history and 35 tissues who had non-chemotherapy history of NSCLC cases, and reviewed the survival time, comparing the relationship between the expression of survivin , VEGF and the survival rate. Results The positive expression rate of survivin and VEGF was 74. 3% and 70. 0% ;survivin and VEGF had positive correlation in the expression of lung cancer tissues (P = 0. 032, r = 0. 527) ;the survival time of NSCLC person who accepted chemotherapy with positive expression of survivin and VEGF was shorter than the negative expression of survivin and VEGF. Conclusion Survivin and VEGF have positive correlation in the expression of NSCLC; the combine detection of sttrvivin and VEGF has scientific instructional action.
