摘　　要：随着图像信息数量的飞速增长,人们迫切需要对大量的图像信息进行快速、有效的检索。因此,研究者们提出了许多图像检索新技术。阐述了图像检索技术的发展过程;分析了基于形状特征的图像检索技术研究现状和局限性;着重从特征提取、高层语义和形状特征的关联、高维索引技术等方面研究了基于形状特征的图像检索的发展趋势。With the rapid growth in the number of image information, it is urgent to retrieve a great deal image information effectively. Therefore, researchers put forward a lot of new image retrieval technology. Summarizes the image retrieval development firstly, and then analyzes research status and the localization of shape- based image retrieval. Lastly, its primary aim is to study in the future development direction of shape- based image retrieval from several aspects, such as feature extraction, high semantic with the connection of shape feature , high - dimension index etc.
