摘　　要：流星雨是以四倍体西瓜790016B为母本,回复突变的二倍体西瓜返祖1号为父本杂交育成的三倍体西瓜品种。中熟,果实发育期31～33d。生长势中等,易坐果,单果重6kg左右,普通栽培667m2产量4000kg以上。果实圆球形,具放射条纹,外观美;瓜瓤红色,中心可溶性固形物含量12%以上;瓤质硬脆,白秕籽小、少,风味纯正,品质优。果实整齐度好,极耐贮运。适应性强,全国各地均可栽培。Star Shower is a new triploid seedless watermelon developed by crossing the tetraploid line 790016B as female parent with the diploid line Fanzu No. 1 as male parent. Fanzu No. 1 is a reverted diploid of an autotetraploid. Star Shower is easy to set fruit and fruit matures 31 to 33 days from pollination. The average fruit is about 6 kg and the yield is above 4 000 kg per 667 m^2 in open field. The fruit is globe shaped with narrow intermittent dark stripes. The flesh is bright red with small seed traces, fine texture, crisp and sweet. The soluble solid content is usually above 12.0%. It is unique for its size, shape and rind pattern. It has good adaptability and suitable for long distance shipping.
