摘　　要：通过对棒垒球运动发展现状的研究,使人们从新的角度认识我国棒垒球运动的发展前景和蕴藏的潜力,将"奥运瘦身计划"带来的负面影响转化为动力,展现棒垒球运动承载素质教育的价值,为我国棒垒球运动的进一步发展和在08奥运会夺牌冲金目标营造一个良好的氛围。On researching the current situation of baseball and softball development, people could get to know the prospect and potentiality of our country＇s baseball and softball in a new angle. It can also change the passive effect of “Olympic slimming plan” into positive power, and show the quality education value of this sports. It will create a good environment for further development of baseball and softball and getting the gold metal in 2008 Beijing Olympics.
