摘　　要：Beowulf, national epic of the Anglo-Saxon people, sings high praise of the ancient hero Beowulf who represents the ideal warrior and king. Sir Gawain, a medieval knight presented in the poem Sir Gawain and the Green Knight, is also described as a hero and a model knight.
