摘　　要：近年来,WiMAX(World Interoperability for Microwave Access)的出现为移动用户提供了高速宽带数据业务,带给人们很高的期望。首先研究了WiMAX的技术特点,并通过与其他宽带无线技术的比较,分析了其优势。随后预测WiMAX的应用场景和商用化进程。最后对WiMAX与3G的关系进行了分析。In these years, the emergence of WiMAX provides mobile users with high speed of broadband data service which has been highly anticipated. This paper firstly presents the technical characteristics of WiMAX and the advantage according to comparison of the features and applications of several major BWA techniques. Secondly, the application environment of WiMAX and commercialized process are analyzed and predicted. Finally, the relationship between WiMAX and 3G is analyzed.
