摘　　要：A series of 2-aryl-1-arylmethyl-1H-1,3-benzimidazoles was synthesized expeditiously in good yields from o-phenylenediamines and aldehydes in the presence of Fe（ClO4）3 without solvent at room temperature.A series of 2-aryl-1-arylmethyl-1H-1,3-benzimidazoles was synthesized expeditiously in good yields from o-phenylenediamines and aldehydes in the presence of Fe（ClO4）3 without solvent at room temperature.
