湘西地区开发与湖南西部生态经济建设探析

摘　　要：2004年6月,湖南省委省政府作出了"加快大湘西开发的决定",大湘西开发正式启动,湘西地区在湖南具有突出的区位特征和重要的战略地位。而生态经济是湘西地区实现可持续发展的根本选择,是解决其生态脆弱和贫困两难问题的最优途径,是成功的发展模式。未来湖南西部生态经济的发展必须构建相适应的生态经济体系,建立健全制度机制,大力建造生态经济工程。June 2004 saw the formal start to develop Xiangxi （the west part of Hunan Province） ,on which Hunan Provincial Committee and Government made the decision to strengthen the development in Xiangxi. Eco-economy is the basic way to realize the sustainable development in Xiangxi, and is the best way to resolve its weak ecology and poverty problem. The future development of eco-economy in Xiangxi should focus on the construction of suitable eco-economy system, perfect system mechanism, and start eco-economy projects.
