摘　　要：论述了公共图书馆应为构建和谐社会培育高尚道德情操的问题,包括培育具有优良价值取向的社会主体、汲取传统文化经典营养、利用独特的人文资源、大力弘扬时代精神以及突出抓好青少年品德教育等内容。This paper discusses on the problem that the public library should cultivate the elegant moral values for constructing the harmonious society, which include the contents of cultivating the main body of the society with excellent value orientation, assimilating the classical nutriment from the traditional culture, carrying forward the spirit of the times by, using the special human resources, and grasping well the moral education for the juveniles, etc.
